The 2018-2019 Murray State Racers possessed one of college basketball’s best players in Ja Morant. The explosive 6’3 guard from Dalzell, South Carolina burst onto the scene his sophomore year averaging 24.5 ppg and 10 assists.

He led the Racers to both the OVC regular season title and conference tournament title on his way to being named the player of the year and consensus All-American.

Morant also led Murray State to the NCAA Tournament where they upset No. 5 seed Marquette, 83-64.
